Everyone thought that he was the victim of a serial killer named Jurek Walter; a man that Detective Inspector Joona Linna arrested years ago and got a life sentence of isolation in psychiatric care. The video thus becomes evidence, and detectives study every frame of it. What she is wearing is irrelevant. This gives them an intense, cinematic feel. This is against Erik's wishes because he believes it to be impossible to work together with Kennet because they do not get along. This was shortly thereafter confirmed by the couple's publishing house through a press release. A young woman is killed in a brutal way that causes her to have very real visions.

She discovered early on that she wanted to become an actress and attended the National Academy of Mime and Acting in Stockholm. In any case, what matters is that Kepler manages to keep the narrative moving forward at all times and gives glimpses of all relevant past events. When the couple writes fiction together, they write crime novels that come from the mystery thriller genre.

The similarity immediately makes the authorities think they are dealing with a serial killer who is playing with them, letting them know who the next victim is but not giving them any information that could help save her. The victim transpires to be an unknown grave defiler and trophy collector, and when the police open his kitchen freezer, they make a terrible discovery. In an article about the Portuguese writer , in the magazine Hjärnstorm, she writes about his way of working with so-called heteronyms, a kind of pseudonyms that act as independent individuals. He put a man in a mental institution years before for a similar crime, but the new crimes start to make him think that was a big mistake and he placed the wrong man away. That the two created a third, fictional author to represent them can be considered a natural extension of their early individual careers, wherein they both experimented with the blurring of the line between fiction and reality, and incorporating the author as a subject. It is discovered that Josef did not have Benjamin in this hiding space and, therefore, was not likely the kidnapper. Ultimately, this novel would have been just as effective with 100 fewer pages. The same can be said for descriptions of places where no action takes places as well as dozens of individuals who are of no importance to any of the many storylines at play. Joona, meanwhile, gathers evidence supporting that Josef was in fact the killer, but Josef escapes the hospital after hearing that he will be arrested, killing a nurse in the process. She was found where the footage showed her, and she was horrifically mutilated and viciously attacked both before and after her death.
